Mission San Juan Capistrano
20x24 oil on stretched cotton canvas
$600 (email me if interested)
I have a hard time photographing my work. This one seems to be washed out and the previous post you can see dull reflections. I have tried different times of the day and different locations. Anyway, while in California taking Robin Hall's workshop, we visited the mission in San Capistrano. What a beautiful place! Every corner you turn is a photo op or in my case a painting op. I would love to spend many hours there painting on location. Unfortunately I live many miles away and I have to settle painting from photos. One day I want to be able to paint plein aire every where I go. Its going to happen soon.

Hi Kim, This is just beautiful. Love the colors.
I did take a look at Robins website. The color class really looks good but like you I'm in TX, seems so far.
Hi Kim,
We sure miss your paintings here at the gallery. This new one is breathtaking! Have you thought of entering in the Salon International at the Greenhouse?
Hope all is well these days!
Nancy, thank you so much, yes California is a long way away. I try to take one workshop a year (I wish I could afford to take more)and Robin's workshop was worth it.
Hi Susan, thanks for stopping by. You paid me a huge compliment saying I could enter Salon International. I don't think I measure up.
Lovely painting, Kim. Do you have Photoshop? I highly recommend it for tweaking photos, among other things.
Don, I do have Photoshop. I have used it in the past when I need to adjust the level. Thank you.
Hi Kim, Lovely light in this painting, I especially like the perspective.
